Delivery

* Orders received after 10:00 am will be delivered on next business day unless a Rush delivery service is indicated when filling out the order form. If there are special instructions you need to give to us, you can enter that information in the "Special Instruction" text box below your gift choice.

* Gift prices do not include delivery or applicable taxes. Charges are as follows:

Central Calgary delivered within 7 hrs or during business hours - $14.00
Central Calgary Rush Service - delivered within 3 hrs - $25.00

If this information is not provided it may cause delays in service and there may be additional charges to search for missing information on the address.

Outer residential and business delivered within 7 hrs - $20.00
Outer residential and business Rush Service delivered within 3 hrs - $31.00


Each individual piece to the same address, same floor or room number - $4.00 per piece

Surrounding city acreages, rural districts, hamlets and villages -
We offer a next day service provided by UPS for surrounding acreages, rural areas, and surrounding towns. Cost is dependent on the cubic size of the shipping box that the gift has to be packaged in but ranges usually between $25.00 - $28.00.

Hospital Delivery
Courier will take the gift directly to the Unit Nurses Station or if allowed to the patients room. This is very time consuming and generally takes much longer to complete plus parking at the hospital is always an issue. Parking control people show no mercy for couriers.

All deliveries to hospitals need to have a unit number of the patient. Courier will not inquire at Patient Location Desk on your behalf without charging for their time as there can be line-ups. Please ensure that the patient will still be there when the gift arrives. If the patient has checked out and a second delivery is made to a different location, a second delivery fee will charged.

Wrong / Incomplete Addresses: If the delivery information is incorrect or incomplete or the delivery could not be completed due to no one home or to sign for the acceptance of the delivery, there will additional charges for each attempt to deliver or to find the correct or incomplete address. Please provide a phone number for your deliveries so we can find out where the new or correct address is.  

Residential Deliveries: When delivering to private residences, we will assume that you wish us to leave the gift at the front door if no one is there to accept the delivery. If there is a better place than the front door to leave the gift when no one is home, please let us know. If you do not want this to happen please advise us and we will instruct the courier that you require a signature for the delivery. Couriers do not call before attempting a delivery.

Residential condos or apartments that do not have their own outside street level entrance, a phone number must be provided so that we can make delivery arrangements on your behalf. Deliveries cannot be left in apartment or condo hallways or front entrances due to problems of theft. Please provide security access codes for apartments that have an intercom system or gated residences. If this information is not provided and a delivery attempt is made and cannot be completed due to insufficient address information, a second delivery attempt will be made once we find out all the address information but please note that further delivery fees will apply.

Office or Business: Deliveries should have the company name along with the recipient's name & phone number in the delivery information to aid in finding the business for the courier. If this is not provided and the courier has to try different departments, different floors, mail rooms etc, further delivery fees will apply as this all take a considerable amount of time. Couriers do not call before attempting a delivery.

Telephone numbers for the recipient are essential when delivery problems arise & we will make every attempt at solving them on your behalf to ensure your delivery arrives safely & on time.

Delivery Schedule


Calgary:Orders will be delivered in Calgary within a 24 hrs or less from the time of receipt by a courier during regular business hours, Monday - Friday. Please allow enough time when ordering, so that, your gift will arrive when you want it to be there.


Out of Calgary Delivery: UPS ground service will be used for all shipments. Please include the recipients phone number so that if there is a delivery issue such as they have moved or it is wrong, UPS will try to contact the recipient and re-direct the gift to the proper location. An attempt will be made three times to complete the delivery. If you do not include the phone number, UPS has no choice but to return it to us. This will result in you being charged for the return delivery back to us. You will then be contacted and asked what to do with the gift. For incorrect and wrong delivery addresses, UPS sends us an extra charge and therefore, we have to pass this on.

Alberta: One to two business days.

B.C. - Sask.: Two to four business days

Man., Ont., Que., N.W.T.: Four to six business days.

Eastern Provinces: Six to eight business days.

U.S.A.: Five to 10 business days.

Note: Glass is not insurable against breakage with transport companies. We will package all orders properly to insure safe shipping but cannot guarantee against glass breakage.


Returns

If your gift basket merchandise arrives damaged, we will be happy to either replace it or credit the purchaser. For out of town deliveries, please inspect outer boxes and packaging for damages before signing a delivery slip. Note any damages on the delivery slip upon receipt. Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery & we will make the necessary arrangements. Retain all of the items or products in the gift plus all shipping materials. Please note that glass items are not guaranteed against breakage by any transportation company. We will do our absolute best in taking care, in our packaging methods to prevent possible breakage of glass. If a glass item is damaged in the shipping process, we are unable to refund the cost of the glass item due to the shipping and transport rules set out by third party services. Perishable gifts are not returnable due to health and safety concerns. The recipient may exchange any other kind of non-food gifts. The recipient must send the return to our office in the original packaging material that it was shipped in. A refund will only be given to the purchaser. Customized non-food gift returns that are undamaged will be subject to approval by A Basket Case & will result in a restocking or handling fee. Food gifts that have been altered or opened are not refundable due to health safety reasons. Custom food gifts that are not shown as a regular stocked item are classified as custom and are not refundable unless deemed acceptable by A Basket Case and are subject to a re-stocking and or handling fee. Shipping fees & delivery costs are not refundable.

We reserve the right to make a substitution when stock items in a gift are sold out or temporarily unavailable. The change will be made at the same value or greater than the original item. Quality will not be compromised.
